A RARE Formula One car worth more than 2m will be parked up in a town centre today (Saturday) as part of a classic car show.
A Maserati 250F, driven in Argentine and Belgian grand prix victories in 1954 by five-time Formula One driver’s champion Juan Manuel Fangio, will be on show in Leys Square, Letchworth GC, today from 10am to 3pm.
The car, one of only 26 produced by the Italian luxury car manufacturers between 1954 and 1960, will be joined by other classics including The Who’s magic bus and a 1957 Police Humber, as well as Lotus and Aston Martin models.
The event has been organised by the Letchworth Town Centre Partnership and the Letchworth Garden City Classic and Vintage Car Club.
