RAM raiders smashed their way through the front doors of the Tesco Extra store in King Street, Potton, at 3.30am today (Monday).
Police say a heavy vehicle was used as it also ploughed through a row of steel bollards before coming to rest inside the shop.
Police say a quantity of alcohol was stolen and other goods possibly valued at more than £5,000.
The store remained closed while a police forensic team combed the building for clues. Also, a repair team was brought in to repair the damage to the front of the building and also see whether any structural damage had been done.
Police say they are linking the raid to a burglary at the Co-op store in King Street in the town on Friday night and another burglary at Lloyd Chemist in Market Square, Potton, on Tuesday night when a large quantity of perfume was stolen.
