A FLYPAST by the RAF Red Arrows was the highlight for many visitors at a summer fair.
There was not only a flypast by the famous display team closing Meppershall Summer Fair at 5pm last Saturday, but also a Battle of Britain Memorial Hurricane flypast earlier in the afternoon.
Visitors were also treated to a display of classic MGs through the years, and Scrufts Dog Show proved popular.
Organiser Steve Ansell said: “The weather was fantastic and the fair was well attended. The Red Arrows were spectacular, complete with smoke, and the Hurricanes did four loops round flying very low. We really couldn’t have asked for better.”
About £3,000 was raised on the day and funds will go towards providing new tables and chairs for the village hall.
