Along with many other kind-hearted souls around the country, 25 female members of staff and their families from Fearnhill School will be raising money for Cancer Research through a sponsored walk or run. I know my daughter will be running for this charity later this year, and at work several colleagues have or will be taking part at one of these organised Race for Life days, or similar events for the same cause. The Fearnhill team will be taking part on July 23 on a 5km course around Bedford. Most families will be affected by cancer in one form or another and it is estimated that one in three people will contract this disease and one in four will die from it. If you want to, there is still time to ring Fearnhill School on 621200 to pledge some money - I am sure they would be pleased to hear from you.
