Hitchin Beavers and Cubs were honoured to receive a visit from Horace the dog from the RAC road safety team.
The 7th Hitchin Beaver and Cub group was honoured to receive a visit from Jacqueline Thompson and Horace who helped them learn about crossings and being visible to traffic and importance of correctly fitted seat belts.
The Beavers and Cubs all had a chance to take a close up look inside an RAC van provided by local RAC patrols Kevin Munns and Ian Buck.
They also received a florescent jacket and goody bag with extra items to allow them to be more visible during the winter evenings.
The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Road Safety Evening, which has helped them work towards their Road Safety Badge.
Ian Buck, Beaver Leader for 7th Hitchin said “I would like to say a big thank you to Jacqueline and Horace from the RAC for the time they spent visiting with the 7th Hitchin Beavers and Cubs. They really loved the evening, and they especially liked that they got to leave with their hi visibility jackets and a goody bag!”
