Police are appealing for information after a puppy was beaten and dumped from a car yesterday (Monday).
A woman on horseback saw a blue convertible BMW speed away from the underpass of the A1M at junction 8 near Graveley Road at around 11.30am before discovering a black Staffordshire bull terrier lying injured on the ground.
The dog was taken to a veterinary surgery where it is being cared for.
Detective Constable Katy Tucker, investigating, said: “This is a nasty and upsetting incident and we are determined to find those responsible. I am particularly keen to trace the drivers of a blue BMW convertible car which was being driven by a black male with a female passenger in the front seat to come forward as we believe they may have vital information which could assist our investigation. I would urge anyone who may have any information at all to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
If you can help, call Dc Tucker via 101 quoting 368 of 30/07/12, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
