Pupils from Year 6 Sycamore class at St Mary’s C of E Junior School in Baldock baked cakes, made crafts and more to raise £331.75 for Cancer Research UK.
The children and their teacher Claire Shadbolt decided to fundraise for this cause after some members of the class were affected by cancer.
As well as making cakes and crafts, they filled a jar with sweets and raffled a cake, baked by the school’s assistant cook Linda Chalkley.
They also organised a beat-the-goalie football competition.
Some cakes still remained to be sold at the end of the event.
