A public appeal to trace a missing teenage girl from Hitchin has been launched this afternoon as concern grows about her welfare.

Tani Whittaker was last seen at her home address in Chaucer Way on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old is described as being of slim build, with long brown hair and around 5ft 3ins tall.

Tani was last seen wearing a grey crop top, black leather jacket and skinny dark grey jeggings. She also wears silver and black weave bracelets.

Police officers are concerned for the teenager’s welfare at this time and ask anyone who has seen her or knows of her whereabouts to call them straight away on 101.
