A DERELICT pub was in flames last night (Tuesday) in what the fire service suspect was an arson attack.
Three fire crews tackled the blaze at The Orchard and Anvil in Hitchin for half an hour last night after they were called shortly after 8.30pm.
Fire fighters from Hitchin and Letchworth and Baldock went into the heavily smoked-logged building wearing breathing apparatus with a hose and high pressured fans to deal with the fire and smoke.
