A store which has stood empty for the past four years could finally be occupied.
A planning application has been submitted to North Herts District Council for the former 90p store on Bancroft, Hitchin.
The application is a change of use from a retail unit to a financial and professional service.
Hitchin town centre manager, Keith Hoskins, said: βIt is great that there will finally be an active frontage, which is what we have been wanting for a long time, we would welcome any kind of financial or professional service, which could be anything from an estate agents or bank.β
