WHEN we launched the Pride of Comet Country awards in May we asked you to nominate inspirational and positive people – and you didn t disappoint. Our seven winners met last week at Stevenage Golf Centre for the presentation. Comet editor Darren Isted

WHEN we launched the Pride of Comet Country awards in May we asked you to nominate "inspirational and positive" people - and you didn't disappoint.

Our seven winners met last week at Stevenage Golf Centre for the presentation.

Comet editor Darren Isted said: "The response to this year's Pride of Comet Country Awards has been the best yet.

"People often say newspapers do not cover enough good news stories so by holding the Pride of Comet Country Awards we aimed to recognise some of the positive things being done by people in Comet country.
