TEENAGERS are invited to a pre-match kickabout before a showing of England’s World Cup match against Algeria tomorrow (Friday).
All 13 to 19 year olds are invited to head to King George V Playing Fields in Stevenage for 6pm for football fun, before going to the Bowes Lyon Centre on St George’s Way in Stevenage to watch the England game at 7.30pm.
The kickabout is free to participants, and watching the match, which will be projected onto a wall, will cost 50p per person. There will also be a tuck shop available.
Both events are being run and supervised by Stevenage police officers and cadets, as well as staff from Youth Connections and the Upfront Football Project – a social inclusion project that provides free football coaching to 11 to 19 year olds.
