An a cappella group with members from Royston and South Cambs are ready to round off their hugely successful year with some Christmas performances.
Phoenix Chorus have now come back from the Sweet Adelines International Barbershop Competition in St Louis, USA.
Group member Mavis Giles said: “We proud to be one of three choruses to represent England, Scotland, Wales and Holland at the international competition.
“Not only did this mean we would experience singing in a huge venue, but we got to visit the city.
“We came home very proud to be ranked 27th out of 550 choruses in the world.”
Smaller parts of the chorus will be performing at Bedford Christmas Tree Festival on December 9, Stevenage’s Lister Hospital on December 13, Luton Airport on December 15, and Broom Christmas Carol Concert on December 20.
