Police have warned van owners to be vigilant after a spate of thefts over the last two weeks in Letchworth, Baldock and Royston.

In order too keep your tools safe, remove them from the vehicle, and park your van against a wall or garage – depending on whether you use the rear doors or have a sliding side door. Have a strong box installed, or alarm the vehicle.

You can collect stickers from police, which say that all tools have been removed.

If you would like one for your van, email Robyn.Allen@herts.pnn.police.uk.

If you see anything suspicious, call 101 or if a crime is in progress call 999.
