Police have warned residents to safeguard their property after an attempted burglary in Hitchin.
The incident happened between 5.30pm on Wednesday last week and 3pm the next day, when offenders attempted to gain access to a property in Verulam Road.
The offenders gained entry to the rear garden via an open side gate and tried to force open two windows causing damage, before making off in an unknown direction.
No entry was gained to the property.
