Police want to speak with a man in his 30s who was taken to hospital following a car crash late last night in the centre of Hitchin.

Offices were called to Queen Street just before 11pm after a BMW had collided with three parked vehicles.

Two ambulances and the fire service also attended the scene, with paramedics treating the man at the scene for a minor head injury before he was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

A police spokesman told the Comet: “One man was detained at the scene and is currently receiving hospital treatment.

“He will be spoken to in due course.”
