A POLICE station is coming to a market square so officers can listen to residents' concerns.

The mobile police station will be set up in Market Place, Hitchin on Thursday to encourage residents to come and speak to the police about any concerns they may have, as well as get crime prevention advice or even recruitment information.

No booking is necessary and officers will be on hand from 10am to 2pm.

A clean up operation will also take place the same day in association with the probation service to tackle graffiti in the town centre following on from an environmental action day last month.
