Police teams including a helicopter and the dog unit were out in force in Letchworth yesterday afternoon after a reported sighting of a wanted man.
Officers were out searching for a man they are looking for in connection with an assault, who had reportedly been spotted in the vicinity of Paddock Close at about 3.30pm.
A search was carried out, but the man was not found.
