POLICE will make a further search today of farmland close to where a severed leg was found in a bag on Sunday afternoon at the side of the A507 near Cottered hoping to find clues to the identity of the dead man..
Last night police said their inquiry had turned into a murder investigation and since their appeal they had received a number of calls from members of the public and they are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
The police do not expect to release any further information on their inquiries until tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at the earliest.
