Police release image of man they want to talk to after female police officer is left with fractured cheek in Hitchin

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak with in connection with an assault on a female police officer in Hitchin which left her with a fractured cheek.

At 2.50am on Sunday, September 18, the officer had gone to speak with a man involved another incident in Market Place.

As she went to intervene, she was hit in the face and suffered a broken nose and fractured cheek.

Officers would like to speak with the man pictured as he may have information which could assist the investigation.
