In one incident, a bike was removed from a stand on the upper floor of the Halfords store in Cotton Brown Park, Letchworth GC, at about 2.35pm on Sunday, November 15.

The bike was wheeled downstairs by a man – with a young boy at the time – who made off from the car parts and bike retailer without paying.

The other image is in relation to a theft at Sainsbury’s in Third Avenue, Letchworth GC, at 5.40pm on Halloween (October 31).

A man entered the shop and asked for cigarettes at the counter. He then asked for some painkillers and, while the cashier’s back was turned, placed the cigarettes in his pocket before leaving the store without paying.

Police wish to speak with the two men pictured – anyone who recognises either of the men are asked to call police on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
