MORE than 300 plants, which are believed to be cannabis, were found when police raided a house in Chalkdown, Stevenage on Saturday.
A 29-year-old man from Chalkdown was charged with producing a controlled drug and appeared before town magistrates yesterday (Monday). He was remanded in custody.
Sergeant Mike Wood from the eastern area tactical team said: "Information from members of the public can prove vital in our proactive efforts to continue to bring crime down in Stevenage.
"We are extremely grateful to residents and landlords and I would like to reassure people that we will act on information received to make Stevenage even safer.
"Anyone with information should contact the police or Crimestoppers.
