Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a theft of money at a cashpoint in Hitchin.
At around 3.50pm on Wednesday, May 11, a woman used the Barclays Bank ATM in High Street, to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash.
During the transaction she was distracted as she said goodbye to a friend and took her bank card out of the ATM and walked off – forgetting to take her money.
When she realised what she had done she returned to the bank and spoke to staff but the money had been stolen.
If you have any information call 101 quoting crime reference G1/16/1177.
