AN alleged sexual assault in Comet country is being investigated by police.
Officers cordoned off a wooded area near to Bedford Road, between Hitchin and Ickleford, following reports of a sexual assault on a woman in the area at about 9pm last Tuesday.
A police spokesman said investigations are ongoing.
