Police are increasing patrols in Baldock after a ‘fat and very scruffy’ man indecently exposed himself.

At about 1pm yesterday a man was seen to expose himself while standing near a field of Letchworth Road.

The man – who is described as white, aged in his early 40s, fat and very scruffy – then walked underneath the A1(M) in the direction of Letchworth.

He was reported as wearing a top with ‘DK’ on it, a jacket and jogging bottoms, and holding a red bag.

Investigating officer Det Con Chris Surgey said: “Understandably this incident may cause concern within the local community but we have increased patrols in the area.

“As this happened during the middle of the day someone may have information and I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a man matching the stated description around the time of the incident.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Surgey via non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
