Police are on the hunt for a group of girls who caused £500 worth of damage to a parked car in Letchworth.

An appeal has been launched after the incident which saw three girls – aged between 12 and 16 – approach a grey Mitsubishi car parked in Whiteway and were seen running over the top of it.

The suspects are described as being between 5ft 1ins and 5ft 3ins tall – one had blonde hair.

Anyone who has any information about the incident – which took place between 1.15pm and 1.25pm on Monday, April – is asked to contact the police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number G2/16/756.
