OFFICERS are hunting for an offender after a jewellers was robbed this afternoon (Friday).
Police were called at 12.34pm to an incident at Baker Brothers jewellers on Leys Avenue in Letchworth GC.
A man is reported to have entered the shop, threatened a shop assistant and demanded high value jewellery from her.
He then left the building with the jewellery.
Inquiries into the incident are currently on-going and the police helicopter is out searching for the offender.
