A police helicopter was up over Stevenage during the early hours of this morning searching for a man in connection with a domestic assault.

Police were called at 2.16am to reports of a domestic incident inside an address in the Pin Green area of Stevenage near Hampson Park, where a man was assaulted.

A second man subsequently left the address and officers carried out a search of the area which involved the dog unit and the police helicopter.

He was not located and enquiries are ongoing.
