POLICE say an area of the Blue Lagoon at Arlesey will remain cordoned off perhaps for several more days as they continue a murder investigation after a headless body was found in the water there on Sunday afternoon.
Forensic teams remain at the lagoon searching an area known as the beach where the corpse, wrapped in several layers of materials, was discovered by two walkers.
"A police cordon has been put up close to where the body was found and remains in place to keep it sterile while forensic teams work there," said a police spokesman.
Police say other parts of the lagoon remain open to the public.
