FOUR men were arrested this afternoon after police stopped a car on the southbound carriageway of the A1 (M) near Stevenage.
Police had been called to reports of an incident of shoplifting at Sainsbury's at Coreys Mill, Stevenage, at 12.37pm and followed a car that was seen leaving the supermarket car park.
The four men are currently being detained at Stevenage police station where they are being questioned by officers.
