POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Stevenage on Sunday when a man suffered serious head injuries after being knocked down.
The incident occurred at around 5.10pm on Shephall Way, just south of the junction with Featherstone Road. A blue Peugeot 106 and a pedestrian were in collision at the zebra crossing.
The pedestrian, a 60 year old man from Stevenage, was conveyed by Air Ambulance to Queens Hospital in Romford where his condition is said to be much improved.
Investigating officer Pc Kevin Sloan said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident to contact me so we can establish the circumstances of the collision.
