POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in Hitchin.
At approximately 11pm on Friday evening a group of three men approached the victim, a
15-year-old boy, and his two friends in Tilehouse Street. The three men pushed the boy against a hedge and searched his pockets, taking his mobile phone and some cash. They then walked off toward Wratten Road West where it is believed that they got into a dark coloured vehicle (possibly a Ford Focus).
The first offender is described as white, aged 23, with a broad build and short shaved hair. He was said to have dark skin and was wearing a blue hooded top, blue jeans and white shoes.
The second offender is described as white, aged 26, with a broad build and short brown hair with a beard. He was wearing a green hooded top and jeans.
The third offender is described as white, aged 22, with a thin build and black collar-length hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark hooded top.
Anyone with information about this incident or who was responsible is asked to call Ds Pete Hankins via the non-emergency number, 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
