A robbery took place at Sainsbury’s in Hitchin yesterday afternoon.

Police are appealing for information after a man threatened a member of staff with a knife at the Bancroft store at about 3pm before running out with £200 in cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Anyone who has any information about what happened can contact the local crime unit at Hitchin Police Station via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
