Nine vehicles parked in the Stevenage Old Town area have been damaged in an overnight spate of vandalism at the weekend.
Police have today launched a witness appeal after vehicles in Grove Road, Stanmore Road and Alleyns Road were targeted overnight on Saturday – with some scratched, and others having their wing mirrors and wiper blades removed.
Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant Duncan Hall said: “We would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help us identify those responsible for this mindless damage.
“All of these car owners have been left with costly and unnecessary repairs. This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable and we want to catch those responsible.”
If you witnessed the offenders or have any information regarding their possible identity please contact Herts police via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference E1/18/936, or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report.
Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.
