Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A505 near Letchworth yesterday.

The casualty – a 50-year-old man – sustained serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains at this time in a stable condition.

A white Vauxhall Mokka was involved in the collision which happened near the roundabout for Junction 9 of the A1(M).

Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or events leading up to it, to get in touch.
