Police appeal after cash and jewellery stolen in Stotfold

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after cash and jewellery were stolen during a burglary at a house in Stotfold on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place between 10.45PM and 10.55pm at a property in Hitchin Road, Stotfold, when four offenders forced open a side door and entered the house.

The offenders searched the bedrooms of the house and stole a substantial amount of gold jewellery as well as large sums of cash which were in different denominations. The offenders were then seen fleeing the property as the victim returned home.

Detective Constable Lynn Adams, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious.
