AN APPEAL for witnesses and information has been launched by police, after a man walking down an alleyway in Stevenage was demanded to hand over his money.
A man was walking through an alleyway between Spring Drive and Broadwater Crescent on Friday, January 14, just after 11pm when he was approached behind by an offender who claimed he had a knife and demanded money.
But the victim waved a walking crutch at the offended who then made off.
The offender is described as a white man wearing a dark hooded top.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident to contact me via the non-emergency number on 0845 33 00 222.
