Businesses are being given the chance to get on board when Stevenage-based POhWER – which provides information, advice, support and advocacy to people who experience disability, vulnerability, distress and social exclusion – holds its third annual Shout About It event in the town.
The Stevenage Arts and Leisure centre summit on Thursday, May 5, will offer the chance to find out about information, support and services on offer through POhWER – it stands for People Of Hertfordshire Want Equal Rights, and is marking its 20th anniversary this year – and other agencies. Sounding a recruiting call for sponsors, community development worker Natasha Bartley said: “I am interested in hearing from any businesses who might like to ensure that the event is a success.
“In return for their support we can advertise their business on our roadshow car which will be seen across 10 districts in Hertfordshire. A banner will be prominently displayed outside the leisure centre, and logos can be added to our posters and flyers.”
If you’d like more details, you can contact Natasha on email at n.bartley@pohwer.net.
