Boro are now almost a third of the way through the season and manager Graham Westley believes there is a lot more to come from his side.

Boro and perhaps Kettering have looked like the only two sides capable of stopping Oxford United running away with the Blue Square Premier title but Westley believes his squad is only starting to fulfil its potential.

While goals have come from all areas of his side, Westley hopes that his strikers start to shoulder more of the burden of the goalscoring duties.

"We're second in the league which speaks for itself but we can do a lot better than we've done," Westley told The Comet.

"We've made changes to the squad in four or five areas and those changes have taken time to settle down.

"You only need to have a look at the job the goalscorers haven't done to work that one out. We've built a good platform and it's up to us what we do with that platform.

"I think we will continue to get better. I think we'll improve a lot and I think the players are starting to find their confidence."

Westley thinks he has noticed a change in his side's confidence since the impressive 1-0 win away at Luton Town.

"I think the Luton result was big for us because it breeds confidence throughout the side. Any smaller club like us that is seen as a potential challenger needs results like that sometimes.

"I remember when my Farnborough side won the Ryman League. I remember beating Aldershot and the players visibly grew and believed they could go on and do something.

"The players here are growing in confidence and the confidence that they start to feel and the trust they get in each other will serve us well.
