CHILDREN are busy enjoying their new play equipment worth thousands of pounds.
Greenside School in Shephall Green, Stevenage, was able to buy £22,000 worth of interactive play equipment thanks to fundraising by the school's parent teacher association and a substantial donation from Stevenage Borough Football Club.
Headteacher David Victor said: "It has made a massive difference to the children. The play equipment includes games and activities suitable for wheelchairs.
"The children are enjoying the new activities and we are all very grateful to everybody who has helped raise money."
o Waitrose has also donated money to Greenside School which will be used to buy multi sensory equipment. It gave £98.10 made during a flower demonstration.
