A ROAD traffic collision was captured on camera by a Comet reader hundreds of feet up in the air.
The accident, which happened on Tuesday at about 9.30am, was snapped by Steve Beaton, who was a passenger in a plane piloted by a friend who had just taken off from RAF Henlow.
The collision involved a Ford van and Vauxhall Vectra on the A507 at the junction with New Road, Clifton and was attended by emergency services crews. Temporary traffic diversions were put in place while they dealt with the incident in which the van turned onto its side.
One person was taken to Lister Hospital with serious shoulder and neck injuries.
