Police have today appealed for help tracing a suspect wanted in connection with a cashpoint robbery in Letchworth.

Officers are looking for 31-year-old Sebastian Lucas, of no fixed address and also known as Sebastian Joao, after the incident in the town’s Garden Square Shopping Centre on October 17 last year.

Police believe the 31-year-old could be in East London and has links to Manchester, Stafford, Rugby and Lincoln.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him, but to call police immediately on 999.

Anyone with information about where he could be should call Herts police immediately on 101, asking for Det Con Ben Stacey.

The crime happened at about 10.20am on October 17, with police including armed officers, dogs and a helicopter searching in and around Letchworth railway station for hours afterwards.

Officers went through train carriages and around the railway lines during a massive hunt for a male suspect – but he evaded capture.
