A person, believed to be a woman, died after being struck by a train at Stevenage railway station this morning.
The incident happened at 11.23 when the person was hit by the King's Cross to Glasgow express.
All services between London and Kings Lynn and London and Peterborough were halted for over 90 minutes while British Transport Police investigated the incident and the station was evacuated.
The female driver of the train was treated by paramedics from Stevenage and Letchworth GC but did not need hospital treatment. She was replaced by a relief driver.
Services were back to normal just after 1pm.
