Fire crew tackles four blazes in two days (Image: Archant)
People have been advised to avoid the outskirts of Hitchin after 40 tonnes of baled hay caught fire.
The blaze started just before 3pm this afternoon near to Holwell Road, off the A600 Bedford Road, which has seen the fire brigade tell people to avoid the area.
Two fire engines from Hitchin and one from Baldock are currently attempting to fight the fire.
