Junior doctors’ working hours and contracts were back on the agenda today as members of the North Herts branch of the People’s Assembly protested outside Stevenage’s Lister Hospital.
They were showing their support for junior doctors in the wake of the new contract for hours and working conditions which was imposed by the government earlier this month.
A fortnight ago the group launched a petition in Hitchin Market Square which was signed by more than 200 people.
The People’s Assembly is a national campaign against austerity, cuts and privatisation in the workplace, community and welfare services,
