PENSIONERS are saying 'fare play' to new buses which are set to come into service on Monday.

The new buses have a ramp to enable easy boarding and lower seats.

Ken Lynch, chairman of the Biggleswade and District Pensioners Association, said: "It is about time we had new buses. The old ones were not clean and not nice. These new buses are clean and easy to get on.

"They will make travelling much easier."

He said he would now like to see the bus shelter in Sandy Market Square replaced.

The new buses were on show to the public yesterday (Wednesday) in Biggleswade and today (Thursday) in Market Square in Sandy.
