A woman has been taken to hospital following a fire in Stevenage on Monday evening.
The East of England Ambulance Service was alerted to Derby Way shortly before 5pm. Ambulance crews from Letchworth GC attended the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "A woman believed to be in her 70s was checked over by paramedics, before she was conveyed to the Lister Hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
