POLICE say they are not treating the death of a pensioner in Letchworth GC as suspicious.
Residents in Broughton Hill were worried on Friday tea time when police officers went to a house in the street. At one stage, said a resident, there were six police cars, two scientific units and a major incident vehicle at the scene.
Soon afterwards a body was removed from the house.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire police said today: "Police were called at just after 4pm on Friday to an address on Broughton Hill after a 77 year old woman was found deceased there.
"An investigation was carried out and has concluded that the death was not suspicious.
