A PCSO from Stevenage and his wife appeared before magistrates this morning (Tuesday) charged with keeping a brothel in the town and money laundering.
Sean and Debbie Griffin, both 44 of York Road, spoke only to confirm their names at a preliminary hearing at Stevenage Magistates’ Court.
The couple were arrested and charged after Herts police raided a property in Brent Court in Silam Road and their home address on July 21.
PCSO Griffin, an officer with a safer neighbourhood team in Enfield, has been suspended from his job by the Metropolitan Police.
The couple were granted unconditional bail and ordered to return to the court on January 7 for committal proceedings to Crown Court.
