A Stevenage park pavilion has reopened after a major 300,000 refurbishment.
Peartree Park pavilion has reopened after a refit and extension by the borough council with funding from Herts County Council.
The improvements to the building, which is used by sports teams as well as the Triangle Pre-School, include a new entrance hall, improved changing facilities and a double height space that can be opened up for community use. A park keeper’s office has also been installed.
Councillor Howard Burell, executive member for sport and leisure, said: “High quality community facilities such as this are vital to this town. We are delighted to have been able to provide a much improved venue which children, young people, and everyone else who uses this pavilion, will be able to enjoy for years to come.”
